In a world where cellphones and cameras are easily accessible you may wonder why a professional headshot is warranted.  Sure, many cellphones have great cameras and can take decent photos but why does a "professional headshot" matter?  I recently did my own self portraits with great lighting and a handy app to connect to my camera and I will say a professional photo makes all the difference so lets break it down some reasons why.

1. Technology now more than ever is all around us.  Social media, professional profiles such as linkedin are all easily accessible for finding potential employers, employment, clients etc.  Often times this becomes our first impression, people see are profiles before they see us.  This was once known as the first impression we made at a job interview. A great headshot can leave a lasting impression.

2. It creates a sense of confidence.  A lot of the times we are hard on ourselves, how we look, our hair etc.  A professional photographer knows their equipment and how to create beautiful lighting.  Having a photo that you love builds confidence and confidence is apart of the equation for success.

3. When meeting someone have you ever wondered where have I seen you before?  Sometimes those lasting impressions are from headshots we have seen through social media, billboards, business cards, ads etc.

4.  Personality, people aren't just interested in what you sell.  What makes you better than the rest?  A good headshot can give an impression of who you are.  My previous headshot was a cropped version of my maternity photos from my 2nd child.  My recent ones show me holding my camera, this speaks wonders about me.  Indeed I am a mom and I love every part of it but holding my camera shows me and what I love to do.

5. Professionalism, an avatar can be fun, a cellphone photo can be intriguing but a professional headshot makes you look and feel more professional.

6. Headshots are not just for the corporate world or models or actors.  Everyone needs a great headshot and hiring a professional is an investment that is sure to pay off.

Welcome to my blog!  I am a newborn, maternity, baby, family, and cake smash photographer in the Brampton and Caledon area, specifically Southfield Village (SFV).  I do cater to newborns all over the GTA, some coming from as far as Markham, Oakville and Bomanville (what an honour!)

Todays blog is dedicated to this adorable little guy, Gurvir.  He was 18 days old when I saw him for his newborn session.  A little older than the under 12 day mark but that never stops me from capturing precious memories of baby's early days.  Many times its mom who is super excited for their sessions and well prepared by reading through my prep guides.  This time around, mom was indeed excited but so was dad!  He followed the prep guide to the T.  But baby Gurvir was so fascinated by the studio, sleeping wasn't on his agenda.  Regardless, adorable pictures were still the result.

Sabrina thank you for your referral. Gurjit Congratulations, he's so precious and thank you for all your help during his session.

Welcome to my blog.  I am a newborn photographer in the Brampton and Caledon area.  I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, family, and cake smash photography.

Oritsetemisan was referred to me by my dear friend Sabrina from My Love Photography.  She was unable to do the session for them at the time and entrusted me to deliver these images for him.  We had a few challenges getting this sweet little guy to sleep but we were still able to capture some great shots and even some super quick ones with his big sister!  My faves are 2 precious images one of mom snuggling him and the other of dad holding him.  Ivie thank you so very much for choosing to do your session with me.  Your children are delightful, congratulations your new addition is perfect.

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog.  I am a newborn photographer in the Brampton and Caledon area.  I specialize in maternity, newborn, baby, family, and cake smash photography.

Meet sweet little Afiyah, she was born just a few days after my Isabella.  Afiyah's mom and dad are dear friends of ours and even though I just had a baby I couldn't not capture these sweet images for them.  The newborn stage goes so fast and these memories are so limited so 2 weeks after having Isabella I was determined to take these. Although, we didn't get to do a complete newborn session I'm so glad we got these.  Those tiny moments when they held their sweet little girl in their arms at her first few days...theres nothing more precious than that.  Thank you Farad and Bibi for letting me take these photos for you.  I can't wait to watch our girls grow up together and celebrate birthdays together!

Welcome to my blog!  I am a Brampton Newborn photographer, located at the Brampton and Caledon border in Southfield Village.  I have been capturing maternity, newborn, baby, family and cakesmash sessions for the last few years.

I met adorable Bryce and his family back in January.  There are no words to describe this family other than: picture perfect, they are as sweet as they are photogenic.  Sometimes working with toddlers can be a little tricky and you have to go with the flow after all their only going to take photos if they don't feel pressured.  Big sister was eager to hold her brother but sporadically gave us some surprising twist.  My personal favourite is that sweet little kiss she gave her baby brother while we were doing their family photos, completely in the moment.  Thank you Sabrina for referring them to me, they were absolutely delightful to work with.  Shari, thank you for trusting me to capture these for you and with your precious little ones.  I certainly had big shoes to fill and so glad we  got what we got.  I couldn't have asked for a better assistant, you were AMAZING!
