When Aveesha's parents contacted me for her newborn photos, she was 3months old. Technically, we newborn photographers like to see baby's when they are less than 14days. They tend to be more sleepy and curl up more, making it easier to wrap them and place them snuggly in a prop or basket. I have in my newborn photography career seen many older newborns. I asked Aveesha's parents to put their patient cap on and we would do the best we could. If baby did not sleep, we would treat it as more of a 3month milestone session, if she did then we would proceed as a newborn. It took some time to get her settled, probably over an hour but when she did her images turned out stunning. We also managed to capture her beautiful bright eyes as well.
