As a newborn photographer we often like to book newborns with in the first 14 days.  Why? You may ask, well newborns tend to curl up more and are more sleepy so getting them into sleepy newborn poses is easier.  As the weeks go by they become much more alert.  Does that mean that if your baby is older than 14 days you can not get newborn photos done?  Absolutely not!  This is a precious time in your life and you should get newborn photos done even if baby is a little older.  The covid 19 pandemic brought on a lot of business closure, photographers in Peel were closed for over 7months.  In this time we have had to push newborn sessions back even further and some babies were 2-3 if not more months old when we saw them.

This little guy was 2.5months old when I did his newborn photos.  I'll admit I wasn't sure how the session would go and we could not achieve those beanbag poses but his images are just stunning!  And the best part is he has both awake alert images and sleepy newborn poses as well.

Thank you again to his parents for letting me capture this special time.

I get very excited when my client's return with their 2nd 3rd or even 4th babies.  It is so nice to watch families grow and provide beautiful memories.  I initially did one year old cake smash photos for their older daughter.  Sometimes older siblings are not too keen on taking photos with their new siblings but I absolutely understand and know how precious these memories are.  I try my best to achieve them but sometimes it does not happen.  We were able to capture beautiful family photos and newborn photos.  Looking back at these moments makes my heart smile.

Welcome to my blog where we are officially welcoming one of Brampton's newest Babies, sweet little Samaya, who was born at the end of July and really is a Ray of Sunshine.  Samaya is extra close as she is related through extended family making it even more special to capture these beautiful memories for her and her parents.  She also came a little earlier than expected, just missing my Amelia’s birthday by a day.  She came in to see me a little older than the 12 days as mom needed a little more recovery time.  Samaya wasn't entirely sure about being swaddled  at first but as she got comfy in my wraps she slept very well allowing us to capture some pretty amazing images of her early days.  Madavi thank you for trusting me to capture your newborn and maternity memories.  Congratulations on your sweet baby girl.

Welcome back to my blog my wonderful readers.  I am bringing you another dose of brampton newborn photography cuteness.  I know I have not been as up to date as I would like to be lately but I am catching up because this is definitely not a session to miss.

Nathaniel is actually turning one very soon but I couldn't resist not sharing his adorable newborn images with you in celebration of his first birthday.  It is remarkable how quickly babies grow and wonderful to be able to look back at the moments when they were this small and could fit in their parents hands.

Some newborns are most happy when they are swaddled and snugly wrapped, Nathaniel was no exception.  He gave us his best smiles when he was all cozy and warm.

Thank you again Monica for letting me capture this special memory for you and Happy first Birthday sweet Nathaniel.

The first family photos after having a newborn baby are super precious.  They capture the beautiful early days and the love and bond between families as they celebrate their newest edition.  Sibling photos can be challenging, either they are over the moon and ready to take photos with their new sibling or do not want to be anywhere near them.  Patience and realistic expectations are important when working with siblings.  Erik's brother was excited and thrilled to hold his new baby brother.  This family was so photogenic and very easy to work with...check them out below.  And Erik was a complete dream.
