The very first cake smash session I did was 5 years ago when my 2nd child turned one.  It was a Minnie Mouse theme and very simple with just a banner, balloons, and cute little baby girl.  After 5+ years of being a professional photographer in the Brampton area, I have definitely come a long way.  Although I still love simple cake smashes, I do enjoy creating a beautiful customized setup for my one year old clients.

As I knew Isabella's cake smash session (my 3rd) would be approaching I started contemplating ideas at around 9 months.  Yes 9 months!  I knew it would be epic.

Deciding on a theme was difficult.  When Joshua (my first child) turned one we did a video cake smash right at home (I wasn’t a professional photographer then), he enjoyed listening to Sesame Street music with me so Elmo and Sesame Street were a given.  Amelia (my second child) loved Mimi Mouse as she used to say and her and her brother would sit and watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse together.  Isabella enjoyed singing and listening to nursery rhymes but other than that she wasn't really into much.  After finding this gorgeous romper from Little Alexis Designs I opted for a Mermaid theme incorporating my favourite colours: pink, purple and minty blues.

Everything came together lovely and Lucy from Artisan Backdrops helped me design my customized backdrop.   Denise from Denise's Delicious Bites created a beautifully designed mermaid cake to add the finishing touches to this gorgeous cake smash session perfect for my sweet little girl.

So how did it go...well we planned Isabella's cake smash on the weekend following her birthday when my husband and the kids would be home.  She loved food and completely smashed and devoured the cupcake we gave her on her actual birthday.  The morning of her cake smash she woke up from her nap not quite herself so we waited a bit and then attempted to let her smash but it just wasn't working out.  I put the cake in the fridge and gave her cuddles.  I tried again 2 days later, she was a happier usual Isabella but wanted Mommy close by which made shooting the photos during her session difficult.  The beauty of being the photographer and the parent is you get to do both, take the photos and try to keep your baby on the set.  We interacted and I decided I would smash with her which she thought was hysterical!  Check out Isabella's beautiful cake smash photos below.

and of course as I always say a cake smash isn't a cake smash without a bubble bath clean up.  Most of my one year old client's tend to love the bubble bath more than the cake smash - water, bubbles, and a perfectly sized baby bathtub.  It doesn't get better than that!

If your looking for someone to capture this wonderful milestone for you, I would be honoured to capture and create beautiful heirloom memories like this one for your baby and family.  Turning ONE is such a big deal.  I would love to make it special and fun!

Welcome to my blog, I am a professional photographer in the Brampton area who specializes in Cake Smash Sessions.  My sessions are very well thought through and I always aim to put my creative touches in set design.  I have done this pink and gold setup a few times but I aim to make every session a little unique and different from the past ones.  For Tia, we simply added some floral touches.  She did amazing with her cake smash and just loved smushing that frosting even getting it in her beautiful locks.  Tia had family visiting from overseas.  I normally try to focus on baby during cake smash sessions as they tend to have limited attention spans but Tia was so calm and relaxed that we got in a few photos with her aunt and grandparents at the very end!  Thank you Bhumika for choosing me to do these for you, it was a pleasure.

Welcome to the blog of Brampton and Caledon Cake Smash Photographer.  I specialize in Cake Smash setups and first birthday sessions across the GTA.  My sets are stylized and decor is based on a my ideas coupled with those of the parents.

This setup has always been a very popular one amongst my clients, they love the pink with shimmery gold curtains.  The best part about having been in business for the last 4+ years is that you begin to see families grow and that is exactly it with this family.  I met Arjun a few years back for his first birthday session, where we did a Superman theme and now Japleen.  Japleen was an amazing smasher, even completely knocking over her cake!  It was fantastic to watch her have so much fun!

Follow me on instagram to see a video of this cake smash in action.

Hello and Welcome to this addition of my blog.  Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Natasha and I am a professional photographer in the Caledon Bramton, Mississagua area.  I specialize in everything baby photography, including cake smash and newborn photography.

Ava's mom contacted me just a few days before Ava's first birthday, she mentioned wanting to do a shoot with a very specific floral design consisting of paper flowers (which are very popular right now).  I did not have nor would I be able to get a backdrop for this within a few days.  I have made paper flowers in the past so I decided I would attempt to make this work as specific companies who make them could not do it within a few days.  After spending hours making and perfecting paper flowers, we had a beautiful setup that turned out truly stunning, it has even been requested a few times by other clients since then.  Check out Ava's adorable cake smash below.  Thanks again Amy for choosing me.

Hello and thank you for checking out my blog.  I am a photographer in the Brampton border Caledon area.  I specialize in everything from maternity photography to newborn photography to cake smash photography to family photography.  I'm located in Southfield Village and have clients from all over the GTA.

Arianna is growing up so fast, as I catch up on my blog posts I thought lets go back and check out her cake smash.  She was one of my very first newborns 4 years ago so it's great to see how much she's grown in such a short period of time.  I've done many sessions for her over the last 4 years and their family has grown very dear to me.  Naadiya and Ravi, it's always a pleasure to see you all.
