From Newborn to ONE - Caledon Newborn and Cake Smash Photography

The greatest honour as a photographer is when a client returns for photos later on.  It truly is so special watching little ones and families grow.  I have seen this family go from a family of 3 to a family of 4 and then celebrated their 2nd's first birthday this year.  I thought it may be fun to share these sweet moments of their newborn and first birthday photos.  I think their oldest may be the sweetest big sister ever.  She just loves her baby sister.

And for her first birthday they chose this adorable Golden Ears Minnie Mouse inspired backdrop from Lillybear Backdrops and Props.  I love the look of paper flowers and the elegant touch.  Although baby wasn't super excited about her hands getting dirty we still managed to have a fun photoshoot and memorable photos.

Hello!  I am so glad you dropped by my blog.  Have you seen the movie Moana? My 2.5 year old is obesessed.  A little background about me: I am a photographer in the Brampton and Caledon area of Ontario.  I specialize in these amazing customized setups for cake smashes or first birthday celebration photoshoots.  Sometimes being a busy mom and a busy business owner things get pushed aside, like my blog.  I'm hoping to get this back going as I love to go back and look at past sessions to show my clients/future clients.  Up first is Elianna's cake smash.  Elianna's parents are pretty big Disney fans so this Moana theme definitely fit.  Elianna also really likes Moana so it was the perfect set for this sweet little princess.  Her mom brought this gorgeous dress her grandma got from a friend and it was perfect for her first birthday portraits.  Her mom also had a pretty amazing cake made by a baker for the occasion and Elianna did not disappoint, she enjoyed every bit of her session.

Of course we cannot forget her adorable pre-cake smash photos where we incorporated an adorable princess theme and her stylish princess dress.

Most babies adore the bubble bath clean up, Elianna most certainly did.

I am so excited to share this session with you.  I absolutely love the colour purple, butterflies and pastels...I truly am a girly girl so this session speaks wonders to me.  It was actually a theme on my cake smash bucket list for forever!  I've seen it done before but my personal touches were added with the birch logs, twinkle lights...I just love the look of these.  I couldn't think of anyone more perfect for this than Miss Mya Vanessa.  You may not recognize her since she has grown up so much in the last year but she was one of my adorable newborns of the past.  As I look through her images I can see both her mom and dad through her.  What a beautiful little girl! She also loved her cake!

This setup has always been a very popular one amongst my clients, they love the pink with shimmery gold curtains.  The best part about having been in business for the last 4+ years is that you begin to see families grow and that is exactly it with this family.  I met Arjun a few years back for his first birthday session, where we did a Superman theme and now Japleen.  Japleen was an amazing smasher, even completely knocking over her cake!  It was fantastic to watch her have so much fun!

Welcome!  I’m a cake smash photographer in Caledon very close to Brampton and Mississagua area.  I specialize in Cake Smash (cakesmash, smash the cake, first birthday) photography in the Southfield Village area. As well as Newborn, Baby, Family, Maternity photography.

I love under the sea and mermaid themed sessions, the colours blue and purple or mint and purple tend to compliment each other so well.  I even handcrafted those jellyfish for my under the sea mermaid type sessions.  I did this session for Innayah awhile back but really haven't been blogging as much which I am trying to focus on because it's so nice to look back at highlights.  This sweet little girl was just a delight to work with even her mom and dad and brother.  Her favourite part of her sessions was her bubble bath and I think you can see it perfectly in the images.  Babies love their bath!  The setup for this session came together so perfectly.  Saira thanks again for choosing me to capture your picture perfect family.
